1.  When was ATC (Alt Terra Commons) started and by Who?

The “Master Plan” was launched in 2020 but we were Created in 2018

by our Visionary Founder, Director, Creator and Futurist - Kevin.

​

2.  What makes ATC so Different?

We offer a Wide Variety of Activity Groups rather than just one, most Work and

Leadership Positions are Rotated, we offer Many Different and Unique Housing Options, and

we are Always Evolving and Improving in all that we do, plus much much more.

3.  Can anyone join ATC and What are the Rules?

Yes - anyone can Apply - singles, couples, families, seniors and their children, but

final Acceptance depends on the Managing Council and Entire Community. There are a variety of

Residency Requirements - Covenants, Policies plus Rules and Regulations, but in general

the Basic Rules are -“Harm No One, Do Your Share, and Break No Laws”.

4.  Where is / will this Community be located?

USA - we are looking for properties as follows: 1. Land - in the Rural south west / central areas where

winters and summers are generally mild, and 2. Houses - can be anywhere Rural or Suburban.

5.  Can I come for a short or long Visit?

Not Yet - but you can in the Future once we have a property.

​

6.  Do you offer Work Trade?

Not Yet – but we will in the Future along with Wwoofing.

​

7.  Do you have paid job positions?

Not Yet - but we will in the Future paid with Community Credits / Stipend.

8.  Are you a Political or Religious group?

No - but many members do follow a Monotheistic Spiritual path.

9.  Can I Bring / Start a Business at this Community?

Yes – we encourage every member to be an Entrepreneur, to employ

community members and to offer profit sharing.

10.  When will the ATC Community Open?

ASAP – once we have enough Committed Members with enough Funding - Monthly Income and Purchase

Costs, we will begin Buying Properties. Currently we are in the Recruiting and Funding Stages only.

11.  Can I Join Now or do I have to wait until you Open?

Join Now – please Join / Register Today, it's FREE, plus space is Limited

and we can't fulfill our Vision without You and Your Great Ideas!

12.  Are there Work Hours required, How Many and What will I be Doing?

Yes – there is a Weekly Work contribution that is Divided up by each Resident. Specific Quantity will be

determined by; A) Work Needed, plus B) Number of Members, and C) Ability. Example Work will

include: Gardening, Cooking, Office Work, Construction, Vehicle / Equipment Maintenance,

Teaching, Cleaning, Child Care, Guest Services and much more...

13.  Are there any Membership Fees required, and How Much?

Yes/But – applying for Membership / Signing-Up is FREE, but to Move In there is generally a Basic One Time Join

Fee - about *$1,000+ and then a Basic Monthly Dues / Membership Contribution - about *$100+.  However,

the Specific Amounts will be determined by a Simple and Fair Formula that takes the following into account:

A) All Costs - Purchase Price, Needed Improvements / Maintenance, Legal / Consulting Fees and Various

Other Annual / Monthly Property and Member / Worker Expenses, Utilities, etc, are Divided Equally by

the total Number of Residents, and then B) Increased by the Cost of Housing / Lifestyle and

Membership Level Chosen, and Finally C) Adjusted by Ability to Pay - Income Levels.

14.  What Kind of Housing, Facilities and Amenities are Offered?

In General the type of Housing / Lifestyle is your choice, within Limitations, and are as follows: 1. Housing -

A) Camping and B) Parking Areas - Tent, Vehicle, RV and Trailer, plus C) Lodging Area - Dorms, Capsules and

Rooms, plus D) Dwelling and E) Building Areas - Pods, Cubes, Stacks and Custom / DIY Tiny Homes.

2. Essential Facilities – outdoor kitchen, shower, toilet and parks will be available.  And 3. Bonus

Amenities – pool, spa, laundry, playground, gym etc. will be optional / added in the future.

15.  Are there any Housing Costs, and How Much?

Yes/But – the Monthly Cost is up to you as there are I. Three Housing Types, and II. Five Different Village

Areas you can choose from as follows: A) Outdoor Spaces in the 1.Camping and 2. Parking areas - Lowest

Cost about *$200+, B) Indoor Rooms / Beds in the 3. Lodging area - Mid Cost about *$300+, or

C) Outdoor Lots in the 4. Dwelling and 5. Building areas - Highest Cost about *$400+.

16.  Can I Bring or Build My Own Housing?

Yes - within *Limitations, as long as your House / Structure meets our Basic ATC Eco-Friendly,

Minimalist, Off-Grid, Esthetic and Other Required Parameters.

17.  What Happens to The House I Own if I Decide to Move Out?

First, if you Brought In or Purchased a House and/or any Other Structures that are Portable – on wheels or skids,

you May Be Able to *Take It With You at Move Out.  Second, if you Built or Purchased a House and/or any

Other Structures on a Permanent Foundation or In Ground, it must Remain On-Site, but you May Be

Able to *Recoup Some of your Costs with a *Sales Transaction at Move Out.  And Third, you also have the

Option of Simply *Donating your House or any Other Structures to the Alt Terra Commons project.

Finally, Any and All Housing / Move Out Scenarios Does Require an ATC Approval First.

18.  What Kind of Activities are Offered?

Some of our Great Activities will include: special events / seminars, movie night, concerts, talent

shows / plays, life stage celebrations, outings / trips, self improvement classes, sport 

contests and much much more... plus many other Group Specific Activities.

19.  Are there Specific Leaders and How are Decisions made?

There is a Management / Leadership Team, that any Qualified Member can Join, and Every Member

gets a Voice / Vote through Modified Consensus.  See Leadership Page.

IV.  STATUS  AND  GOALS

​

We are now in the Promoting and Recruiting and Fundraising Phases, and do not yet have a Property,

therefore, Visiting or Moving In is not yet possible.  Our Development Stages are as follows: First,

to buy a Standard House where the Founders - the first #5 who Fund this Project, will live.

And Second, to buy and move into an Expansive Property where the Founders and All Other Group

Members, those who pay Required Fees, will live.  This is also where we will build the

"Central Hub" - Essential Facilities, and the Unique Housing "Villages", plus ultimately

the bonus Amenities - "Visitors Center", Eco Village", and "Wellness Resort".

Our Estimated Minimum "Start-Up Goals" are as follows:

Stage One - Raise *$150,000 Cash + *$4,000 Monthly from *#5+ Founding Members = House Share.

and/or

Stage Two - Raise *$200,000 Cash + *$6,000 Monthly from *#15+ Additional Members = Land Share.

Also keep in mind that Initial Membership / Signing-Up Is FREE! Registering with ATC is Not a

Contract, and Payment of Fees does not occur until such time that we can Purchase a Property and/or

you are Approved for Move In - Submit an Application, Pass a Background/Credit Check, Meet

us in Person, Complete a Trial Period, and Sign All Community Agreements, and so on...
